!! Safari Zones in Manas National Park !!
Manas Tiger Reserve is a huge wild place in Assam, and it is located in the Chirang, Darrang, Kokrajhar, Udalguri, and Baska districts of Assam. This place is divided into three zones, or you can say ranges, namely Bansbari (Central), Panbari (Western), and Bhuyanpara (Eastern). Tourist activities are allowed in Bansbari (Central) and Bhuyanpara (Eastern) zones only. In simple words, people cannot enter the Panbari zone, which is also known as the Western Range of this park. Every zone in Manas National Park has different attractions and sightings as written below:
Bhuyanpara Eastern Zone
This zone is near the main entrance of the park, and it is perfect for maximum exploration because it has Grasslands, dense forests, and the Manas River. In the Manas safari zone, people can see different animal species like Elephants, Indian bison (gaur), tigers, and a variety of birds. This zone offers gypsy safari rides to the visitors. This is the most lively zone in Manas National Park and is full of attention-grabbing spots and attractions.
Panbari Western Zone
This zone is on the western side of the main entrance, and it has dense forests and hilly terrain. This is the key zone in Manas National Park and it offers the maximum sightings. This is home to the endangered golden langur, besides other animals like tigers and leopards. The Panbari Manas Safari zone does not offer any kind of safari.
Bansbari Central Zone
This one is the most important zone, and most of the animals can be spotted here. This zone in Manas National Park has a mix of forests and grasslands in terms of flora, and this one is the best to spot Indian rhinoceros, wild buffalo, and different species of deer. It offers both gypsy and elephant safaris, and it remains less crowded when compared to the eastern zone of Manas National Park.
